Audition Notice
21ten Theatre is casting 4 roles for our upcoming production – The Other Place by Sharr White. If you think you’d be a good fit for a role & are available for our production dates, we encourage you to audition.
Audition Dates:

Saturday March 15th 2-6pm
21ten will be auditing the PATA General Auditions. If you will be auditioning at the PATAs and would like to be considered for this production, please send us an email, and we will flag your audition and keep you in consideration.

ABOUT:
Just as Juliana Smithton’s research leads to a potential breakthrough, her life takes a disorienting turn. During a lecture to colleagues at an exclusive beach resort, she glimpses an enigmatic young woman in a yellow bikini amidst the crowd of business suits. One step at a time, a mystery unravels as contradictory evidence, blurred truth and fragmented memories collide in a cottage on the windswept shores of Cape Cod.
CASTING:
Juliana Smithton: A sharply charismatic scientist in her early fifties. Juliana’s obviously fierce intelligence is both her greatest asset and her largest burden, having helped her carve a niche in a deeply competitive field infiltrated by brilliant minds, and yet bringing her a deep impatience and a drive not alway understood by those around her.

Ian: Juliana's husband, early fifties, an oncologist.
​
The Woman: In her late twenties to early thirties, The Woman portrays: Dr. Cindy Teller, a neurologist; Laurel, Juliana and Ian’s daughter; and a Woman.
​
The Man: In his late thirties, The Man portrays Richard Sillner, and Bobby, a nurse.
​
21ten is interested and dedicated to the casting of artists of any race, ethnicity, gender expression, age, and ability. We encouraged all to submit!

Rehearsals: March 31st-April 25
- Mon-Fri, between 9am-3pm ~25hr/week
Tech: April 26th & 27th
Dress: April 28th-30th
Preview: May 1st
Performances: May 2nd - May 25th
- Thu-Sat 7:30pm, Sun 2pm

For Auditioners:

Please prepare 2 contemporary contrasting monologues OR one contemporary monologue in combination with one of the sides provided

Whatever material you feel best shows your abilities!

No more than 2 minutes in total of performance time.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your time slot

Volunteer for Front of House!
We love to involve our community in volunteering for Front of House for our productions. There are two positions we need filled for every show: Box Office and Concessions.
BOX OFFICE: The box office volunteer will welcome guests to the theatre and sell tickets at the door.
CONCESSIONS: The concessions volunteer will sell food and drinks at the concessions station.
