Juliana Smithton is a brilliant scientist with a spine of steel, whose work is on the cusp of a massive breakthrough. While giving a talk about her research at an exclusive beach resort, she spies a woman in a yellow bikini. This chance encounter sends her on a path that may destroy her life's work, her marriage, and her own identity as her past is thrust into the present, and she begins to question reality itself.

Gavin Hoffman | Director
Gavin Hoffman (Director) is very happy to be back at 21ten. Previous directing credits include: (21ten) Here We Are Again Still & 52 Pickup; (CoHo) Pontypool, 'night, Mother. As an actor, Gavin has worked at Portland Center Stage (Crossing Mnisose, Major Barbara, Astoria Parts 1 & 2, Great Expectations, Cyrano, Othello, Clybourne Park), Artists' Rep. (The Understudy, American Hero, The Monster Builder), Profile Theatre, Portland Playhouse, Lakewood, Shaking the Tree, and others. He has worked at DCPA in Denver, CO, Book-It in Seattle, The Shakespeare Theatre in DC, as well as several theatres in NYC. He is the recipient of 4 Drammy Awards for acting, has a BFA in acting from Ithaca College, and is a graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. He is a member of SAG/Aftra and AEA.

The Woman
Ashley is so pleased to be making her debut at 21ten Theatre with this gorgeous and
devastating play. Previous credits include Portland Center Stage at The Armory, Portland
Shakespeare Project, Corrib Theatre, Chapel Theatre, and the Fertile Ground Festival of New
Works. Locally she has appeared in the staged readings of unbound: a bookish musical and
Half, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet
Street at PCS. She received her BFA from New York University. She is also the co-founder of
Desert Island Studios.

Tyler Shilstone | The Man
Tyler has been lucky enough to be a part of many projects that he is very proud of, but he will only use this bio section to tell you about one: Whiskey Dixie & The Big Wet Country. A Portland-baked feature film musical from the demented mind of Amanda Richards. Get ready for the DVD/Blueray prerelease this fall and follow the official movie account on all the socials to see Tyler posting daily about this future cult classic and get info about upcoming screenings.

Todd Hermanson | Ian
Todd Hermanson is pleased to be performing for 21ten Theatre with this talented cast and crew of artists. Last summer, Todd played Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady at Clackamas Repertory Theatre. Most recently, at Lakewood Theatre, he played Colonel Jessep in the production of A Few Good Men. Also, at Lakewood, he has played: Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Father Flynn in Doubt:a Parable, as well as appearing in numerous other productions. Todd has been performing professionally for over 40 years and favorite productions include: The Music Man, The Odd Couple, Desperate Measures, Noises Off, Thief River, Biloxi Blues, Man of La Mancha, 42nd Street, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. His television and film credits include Star Trek: the next generation, Nowhere Man, Bagdad Café. Todd spent a good deal of time working as an actor in NYC, Los Angeles, Scotland, Hawaii and other areas of the United States. Todd’s training is in Improvisational, Musical and Shakespearean theatre and he received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon and a Master’s Degree from Western Oregon University. In 2021, he retired as the Drama Director at Tigard High School after 23 years, and over 30 years teaching theatre.

Diane Kondrat | Juliana
Thank you for coming to the theatre! Kondrat is grateful to Gavin Hoffman for casting her in a
role she's been coveting for a decade. This is her 21ten debut. The past two years have seen
her in NW Classical Theater Collaborative's HAPPY DAYS at an abandoned Victoria's Secret, in Joan Didion's YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING, in WEBSTER'S BITCH, and in MARY JANE with Third Rail, where she is a proud company member. Kondrat's theatrical history includes directing, teaching, playwriting, and years of interactive theatre in prisons. She is indebted to her Meisner teacher, Martha Jacobs.

AC Campbell | Producer
AC Campbell (they/them) is a Portland based actor, producer, and administrator. They hold a BA in Theatre and Psychology with a Distinction in Performance from Lewis & Clark College. During the day, AC splits their time between Third Rail Repertory Theatre on the Box Office Staff and at 21ten Theatre as Associate Producer. Recent production credits include: Sanctuary City, The Music Man (Third Rail Repertory Theatre), Dorothy’s Dictionary, Stupid F***ing Bird, Uncle Vanya, Adopt A Sailor, A Number, 52 Pick Up and Taking Care of Animals (21ten Theatre), and Fun Home (Fir Acres Theatre). In their free time, they enjoy riding their bike, and trying to convince people to move to Portland.

Abby Weinman | Costume Designer
Abby Weinman is a costume designer based in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Pacific University in 2023 with a BA in Theatre and Film/Video Production. While there, she received the Brad Blair Award for Theatre Performance and the Barbara Story Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Theatre Department. Since graduating, Abby has spent time in numerous corners of the costuming world; she has worked as a dresser at Portland Center Stage during their 2023/2024 season and was the assistant costume shop manager for OrpheusPDX. She was the costume designer for Bag&Baggage’s 2024 production of Birds of North America, and their 2025 production of Beginnings and Endings. Most recently, she worked as the costume designer for Mount Hood Community College’s 2025 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. She is so excited to be working at 21Ten and would like to thank her friends and family for their love
and support.

Julianne Bodner | Scenic/Props Designer
Julianne Bodner is a Portland-based Scenic Designer. Select credits include The Last Yiddish Speaker and Predictor (Oregon Contemporary Theatre), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Gather Repertory Theatre), and A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder (Penguin Productions). She is also the Charge Scenic Artist for Stumptown Stages. Julianne was recognized nationally for Excellence in Scenic Design at KCACTF in 2023.

Samantha Kemp | Lighting Designer
Samantha "Sam" Kemp is a Portland-based creator, artist, and lighting designer for live performance. Born and raised in the tiny town of Lindenhurst, New York before moving to Las Vegas in her adolescence, Sam has always managed to weasel her way into artful spaces despite cultural pressures to stick to the status quo. Design credits include Chekhov! 3 Farces here at 21ten, 8-Track: Sounds of the 70's at The Broadway Rose, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Gather Repertory Theatre. Additionally, she has acted as an assistant and associate designer for many other works, including Infinite Life designed by Solomon Weisbard with Third Rail Repertory Theatre and Amélie designed by Dan Meeker at Portland Playhouse.

Anna Wong | Stage Manager
Anna (pronounced “Ah-na”) is both a seasoned Stage Manager and performer with a background in symphonic & marching percussion -- having appeared on stage in venues all across the United States and in Shanghai, China. In addition to her work with 21ten, she is also a familiar face among several theatre companies in the Portland Metro area including Beaverton Civic Theatre, Oregon Children’s Theatre, Spark Plug Theatre Collective, PassinArt, and Profile Theatre. Recent productions include The Man Who Came to Dinner, Ramona Quimby, Two Witches No Waiting, FUTURA, Slow Food, Goodnight Moon, Yohen, Lifespan of a Fact, and VIRAL [Fertile Ground]. Outside of the performing arts, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences and is an avid gardener / aspiring horticulturist. Patrick Clare Lee | Sound/Projections Designer
Patrick Clare Lee is a writer, director, and, occasionally, sound designer. Born and raised in Arizona, Lee graduated from Portland's Lewis & Clark College in 2023. They have directed productions of Play by Samuel Beckett, Really Rosie by Maurice Sendak & Carole King, and The Play That Goes Wrong. She assistant directed Lewis & Clark College's fall 2022 production of RENT. At Lewis & Clark, Lee sat on the board of (Pause.), the school's journal of dramatic literature. Lee has written and produced an original, 45-minute play, Born to Live, performed in Lewis & Clark's Black Box theater in 2023. He was part of Third Rail Repertory Theatre's Spring 2024 mentorship program, and has since worked with them as a videographer and projectionist. In August 2024, she was the percussionist for a staged adaptation of the album Hazards of Love.
